I would highly rate this place... from fantastic cocktails to delicious dishes and great ambiance this place is definently worth visiting. The staff were so friendly and we really enjoyed ourselves
(Þýtt af Google) Ég get mjög mælt með veitingastaðnum og sérstaklega barnum. Við gistum í viku í Canopy og fórum í það á hverju einasta kvöldi í drykki og charcuterie borð. Barþjónarnir þekktu okkur þegar á öðrum degi og gáfu okkur góð ráð fyrir restina af dvölinni. Áður en þú velur einhvern annan bar í bænum skaltu koma hingað og njóta kvöldsins með góðum kokteil, bjór eða vínglasi. Sérstaklega þegar þú gistir á hótelinu hvort sem er.

I can highly recommend the restaurant and especially the bar. We stayed for a week in the Canopy and went to it every single night for drinks and a charcuterie board. The bartenders knew us already on the second day and gave us good advice for the rest of the stay. Before you choose any other bar in town, come here and enjoy the evening with a nice cocktail, beer or glass of wine. Especially when you stay in the hotel anyway.

(Þýtt af Google) Matur er bara magnaður. Við gistum eina nótt á hótelinu og ákváðum að gefa veitingastaðnum tækifæri þar sem það var bara þægilegt hvað varðar fjarlægð. Við fluttum á annað hótel næstu tvær nætur en komum aftur til Canopy í aðra umferð af þeim dýrindis bisque og rauðrófutertum. Milli rafmagnsins fer það eftir því hvað þér líkar, en afli dagsins, öndin, lambið og nautakjötið eru öll fallega og skapandi kynnt og smekkurinn og bragðið vonbrigðum ekki. Eyðimörk vitur, brenglaður kleinuhringur alla leið!

Food is just amazing. We stayed one night in the hotel and decided to give the restaurant a chance as it was just convenient in terms of distance. We moved to another hotel for the following two nights, but came back to Canopy for another round of that delicious bisque and beetroot tartar. Between the mains, it depends on what you like, but catch of the day, the duck, lamb and beef are all beautifully and creatively presented and the taste and flavours do not disappoint. Desert wise, twisted doughnut all the way!
Wir hatten dieses Lokal schon von Deutschland aus für den 25. Dezember zum Brunch reserviert und waren positiv überrascht. Buffet war typisch isländisch, nicht besonders groß aber dafür mit vielen landestypischen Leckereien. Brötchen mit Marmelade hat man hier nicht gefunden, was uns überhaupt nicht gestört hat. Aber es gab von süß bis deftig für jeden etwas. Service war sehr freundlich und die Preise absolut ok. Pro Person haben wir ca. 35 Euro ausgegeben und das an Weihnachten. Sehr empfehlenswert.

One of the best meals had in Iceland! Nice cocktails, decent fish dishes and super delicious salad. Would highly recommend it for sure! Staffs are friendly, cheerful and helpful. Overall, love it!

(Þýtt af Google) Maðurinn minn og ég fengum svo magnaðan kvöldmat hjá Geiri Smart. Við gistum á Canopy og allt sem við þurftum að gera var að hringja í afgreiðslu og ganga síðan niður! Andrúmsloftið er nútímalegt og tæmandi. Við vorum með mjög ljúfan og gaum þjóninn sem var nógu hugsi til að útskýra alla réttina okkar og uppruna þeirra.
Við snæddum þriggja rétta kvöldverð þar sem framúrskarandi réttirnir voru Langoustine bisque, seared lambið og creme fraiche ís. Við getum ekki beðið eftir að koma aftur! Ég hef dreymt daginn um þennan bisque.

My husband and I had such an amazing dinner at Geiri Smart. We we're staying at the Canopy and all we had to do was call the front desk for reservations and then walk downstairs! The ambiance is modern and ecclectic. We had a very sweet and attentive waiter who was thoughtful enough to explain all of our dishes and their local origins.
We had a three course dinner with the outstanding dishes being the Langoustine bisque, the seared lamb and the creme fraiche ice cream. We can't wait to come back! I've been day dreaming of that bisque.
