Review Sakebarinn - Reykjavik

Löng bið eftir matnum. Fengum vondan mat og þegar við kvörtuðum vildi kokkurinn ekkert fyrir okkur gera. Dauðvorkenndi þjónustustúlkunni sem bar okkur fullan reikning fyrir óborðaðan mat og skammaðist sín augljóslega. Fer aldrei þangað aftur.

Abbiamo passato un bellissimo pranzo con zuppa di misto pesce e il fishandchips ! Il pesce è piu buono delle patatine ! La zuppa é spettacolare! Il proprietario è super cordiale e super simpatico! Ci siamo fermati a parlare con lui e ci ha dato delle dritte ! A fine pranzo ci ha offerto il dolce ! Vi giuro che siamo stati benissimo ! Ve lo consiglio piu che altro le materie sono super fresche ! abbiamo visto entrare il ragazzo delle consegne del pesce!

(Þýtt af Google) Gimsteinn í bænum! Umhverfið var fullkomið og við fengum frábæra þjónustu. Þeir bjuggu til sushirúllurnar okkar á staðnum og strax og áferð þeirra og bragð var að blása. Við munum örugglega koma aftur. Það er gott að vita að við getum farið á stað þar sem þú getur smakkað alvöru sushi! (Upprunalegt) A gem in town! The ambient was perfect and we got awesome service. They made our sushi rolls on the spot and right away, and their texture and flavor was mind blowing. We will definitely be back. It’s good to know we can go to a place where you can taste real sushi!

(Þýtt af Google) Veitingastaðurinn var mjög sætur! The sushi var frekar gott. Var ekki eins góður og ég bjóst við, en ég var enn mjög ánægður. Þjónustustúlka okkar var frábært. Við vorum á því sem virtist vera hægari nótt eða kannski gerist það mjög mikið en þjónustan var fljótleg! (Upprunalegt) The restaurant was very cute! The sushi was pretty good. Wasn’t as good as I was expecting, but I was still very pleased. Our waitress was great. We were on what seemed like a slower night or maybe it really does get missed a lot but the service was quick!

(Þýtt af Google) Í annað skipti að fara í Sakebarinn síðan það opnaði. Í fyrsta skipti fengum við frábæra sushi, góða þjónustu og notalegu andrúmsloft. Því miður kom annað skiptið ekki einu sinni nálægt hvað varðar þjónustu, mat eða andrúmsloft. Við gerðum mistök með því að panta ekki borð fyrirfram og þegar við komum sagði þjónustustúlkan að þau væru með sæti laus en biðin væri um það bil ein klukkustund, ef við viljum, þá gætum við pantað okkur einhverjar byrjendur ef við værum svöng. Þessi staður er lítill og notalegur en þegar hún bauð okkur borð sem var svo nálægt næsta borði fannst mér eins og þú borðaðir við það borð. Erta en hlakka til nýrs sushi ákváðum við að panta drykki á meðan við biðum, pantaðu líka fjórar tegundir af rúllum og þá fór hópur tíu ungmenna að labba inn á þennan litla veitingastað. Hópurinn var frekar hávær svo allir hinir gestirnir þurftu að hækka raddir sínar svo rólega andrúmsloftið breyttist í stressandi og afslappandi borðstofu. Maturinn kom mikið fyrr en afgreiðslustúlkan hafði tilkynnt okkur, eftir um það bil hálfan tíma fengum við okkur sushi og diskurinn var frábær. Bragðið af fiskinum var af aldrinum, soja var leiðin til að salta, hrísgrjónin voru annað hvort of soðin eða ekki soðin og sum loksbragðið var bara slæmt. Ég hefði getað farið til Costco og fengið tífalt betri sushi fyrir aðeins dreypi af verði. Sem betur fer áttum við 2 fyrir 1 afsláttarmiða fyrir sushi en heildarupplifunin í seinni heimsókninni var aldrei að endurskoða. Ég vona að þeir hafi bara átt slæman dag því fyrsta heimsókn okkar var góð. Þess vegna mun ég skilja eftir 2 stjörnur í stað 1 stjörnu. (Upprunalegt) Second time going to the Sakebarinn since it opened. The first time we had a fantastic Sushi, good service and a nice atmosphere. Unfortunately the second time did not even come close to in terms of service, food or atmosphere. We made a mistake by not reserving a table beforehand and when we arrived the waitress said that they had seats available but the wait would be approximately one hour, if we would want we could order some starters if we were hungry. This place is small and cosy but when she offered us a table that was so close to next table it felt like you were dining with that table. Irritated but looking forward for a new sushi we decided to order drinks while we waited, order four types of rolls as well and then a group of ten young people start to walk into this small restaurant followed. The group was rather loud so all the other guest had to raise their voices making the calm atmosphere turn into a stressful and non relaxing dining. The food arrived a lot sooner than the waitress had informed us, after around half an our we got our sushi and the plate looked fantastic. The taste of the fish was of an aged one, the soya was way to salty, the rice was either too cooked or not cooked and some the end taste was just bad. I could have gone to Costco and gotten a ten times better sushi for just a drip of the price. Fortunately we had 2 for 1 coupon for the sushi but the total experience for the second visit was a never to revisit. I hope that they just had a bad day because our first visit was a good one. Therefor I will leave 2 stars instead of 1 star.

(Þýtt af Google) Yndislegur veitingastaður frábær decor. Maturinn var ljúffengur. Við þurftum að bíða um stund en þar sem sushi er búið til að panta okkur var alls ekki sama! Þegar það kom var það örugglega þess virði að bíða. Humarkeifin eru svo góð! (Upprunalegt) Lovely restaurant great decor. The food was delicious. We did have to wait awhile but as the sushi is made to order we didn't mind at all! When it arrived it was definitely worth the wait. The lobster skewers are so good!

So I’ve been here 3 times, my first experience was nice and I don’t remember much about it, but my second experience was really bad, kinda 2 stars, we had to wait For like an hour without being notified at all! Like the waitress hardly cared when I asked her after an hour, why we weren’t notified that we had to wait an hour for the food to arrive, and not like the place was full! There were Maybe 3 other tables there. The sushi was fine when it finally came, but a after an hour of waiting almost everything would taste fine. My third trip to this place against my advice was alright, don’t get me wrong the sushi that time quiet good but they kinda matched the price which it almost always high for sushi, nonetheless the service was meh, some teenager, didn’t look like she wanted to be there.

(Þýtt af Google) Mjög löng bið eftir mat miðað við að það voru aðeins tveir aðrir á veitingastaðnum, þjóninn hafði gleymt einum af réttunum sem olli aukinni bið, starfsfólkið er ákaflega ungt (unglingar) og þeir spila hávær, móðgandi rapptónlist á veitingastað sem á að vera japanskur. Veitingastaðurinn var mjög kaldur með drög. Sushi var nógu gott, en ekki það besta í Reykjavík. Við urðum líka að verða vitni að því að starfsfólkið deilir um pöntunina hvert við annað. Ég myndi mæla með að leita upp á annan stað til að fá betri sushi-upplifun. (Upprunalegt) Very long wait for food considering there was only two other people in the restaurant, waiter had forgotten about one of the dishes which resulted in extra wait, the staff is extremely young (teenagers) and they play loud, offensive rap music in a restaurant which is supposed to be Japanese. The restaurant was very cold with draft. Sushi was good enough, but not the best in Reykjavík. Also we had to witness the staff quarreling about the order with each other. I would recommend to look up some other place for a better sushi experience.
