Extremely well-maintained hotel, in a perfect location near food (get reservations at Mat Bar next door!), art, museums, shopping, and public transportation. Modern, swanky vibe. Offers city and water views. Excellent staff (friendly, competent).
Top 5% of hotel breakfast buffets I've had (quality, selection, ambiance).
Three night summer vacation family stay, spread across three different rooms. Aside from a false fire alarm going off after midnight one night (emptying the hotel), near-perfect.
Queen room overlooking a plaza is too small for a multi-night, multi-occupancy stay. Twin room is an excellent size (exceptionally comfortable for the two teenagers), as is the junior suite (also offering a fold out couch possibly large enough for two small children).

(Þýtt af Google) Ferðaðist í lok apríl 2022. Hótelið er vel útbúið og virðist frekar nýtt. Ég gisti í drottningarherbergi sem var þétt með vel stóru baðherbergi og góðri (þó ótrúlega hávær) sturtu. Gist líka í tvíbura sem var í ágætis stærð. Hótelið virðist bjóða upp á ágætis rými til að hanga á auk ágætis morgunverðarframboðs. Staðsetningin er mjög þægileg. Ég myndi gjarnan snúa aftur.

Traveled in late April 2022. The hotel is well appointed and seemingly quite new. I stayed in a queen room which was tight with a well sized bathroom and a good (albeit remarkably noisy) shower. Also stayed in a twin which was a decent size. The hotel appears to offer some decent spaces to hang out as well as a decent breakfast offering. The location is very convenient. I would gladly return.

Öllum starfsmönnum er tilbúinn og fús til að svara öllum spurningum um skoðunarferðum. Hins vegar Ástrós fór yfir og utan framúrskarandi starfsfólk í Canopy. Hún gaf okkur upplýsingar um staðbundna ljós hátíðinni og þýtt málsgrein í íslensku. Ég þakka sannarlega að athygli að smáatriðum, svo að boðskapur minn var miðlað á réttan hátt.

Spacious rooms for a European Hotel and a comfortable personal sized beds. As mentioned in other reviews the hotel great lounging spaces. The complementary breakfast offers a great variety of hot and cold breakfast.
All of the staff is ready and willing to answer all questions about sightseeing. However, Ástrós went above and beyond the excellent staff at the Canopy. She gave us information about the local light festival and translated a paragraph into Icelandic. I truly appreciated that attention to detail so that my message was conveyed correctly.

(Þýtt af Google) Þó að margar umsagnir um þetta hótel séu góðar og þess vegna valdi ég þetta hótel, þá þarftu að vita að helmingur hótelherbergja snýr að götu þar sem næturklúbbur er að sprengja tónlist til 2-3 að morgni. Viðskiptavinir þess safnast líka saman úti og jafnvel með lokuðum gluggum heyrist í þeim. Konan mín og ég gátum ekki sofið í 2 nætur vegna þessa vandamáls. Nema þú sért tryggð með herbergi sem er hinum megin við hótelið - ég myndi gista annars staðar. Að öðru leyti er hótelið nútímaleg viðhaldseign.

While many of the reviews of this hotel are good and that is why I chose this hotel you need to know that half of the hotel rooms face a street where a night club is blasting music until 2-3 am. Its customers congregate outside as well and even with the windows closed you can hear them. My wife and I were not able to sleep for 2 nights due to this issue. Unless you are guaranteed to have a room that is on the other side of the hotel - I would stay somewhere else. Otherwise the hotel is a modern upkeep property.

(Þýtt af Google) Við byrjuðum og enduðum fríið okkar á The Canopy hótelinu. Yndislegt hótel með fallegum innréttingum og húsgögnum. Nóg af setustofum til að slaka á á kvöldin. Það er þakverönd líka, ef þú ert svo heppinn að ná norðurljósunum. Fullkomlega staðsett á miðlægum stað.

We started & ended our holiday staying here at The Canopy hotel. Lovely hotel with beautiful decor & furniture. Plenty of lounge areas to relax in the evenings. There is a roof terrace too, if you are lucky enough to catch the Northern lights. Perfectly situated in a central location.
