Bað um latte sem tók 20 mínútur að gera og fékk hrátt skinkuhorn í tvígang en í staðinn fékk ég hálf frosna muffin.

(Þýtt af Google) Þessi staður er sjaldgæfur falinn gimsteinn. Maturinn er ekki bara ótrúlegur heldur er liðið frábær vinalegt og fróður um eyjuna. Við komum inn strax við lokun, örvæntingarfullir í mat eftir gönguferð allan daginn og þeir gerðu hlýja máltíð frá grunni! Þeir voru meira að segja með glútenlaust brauð fyrir son minn. Þeir hjálpuðu okkur að breyta því sem hefði getað orðið hörmung í eftirminnilegt kvöld. (Upprunalegt) This place is a rare hidden gem. Not only is the food amazing, but the team is super friendly and knowledgeable about the island. We came in right at closing, desperate for food after an all day hike and they made warm meals from scratch! They even had Gluten free bread for my son. They helped us turn a what could have been a disaster into a memorable evening.

Verð voru tiltölulega lág, matseðillinn bauð upp á hefðbundna íslenska valkosti og starfsfólkið var einstaklega vingjarnlegt og vingjarnlegt. Ég pantaði daglega sérréttinn þeirra, hefðbundinn þorsk-, kartöflu- og mozzarellabakaðan rétt. Það var stórkostlegt. Konan mín pantaði kjúklingasúpuna sína og hún var líka ljúffeng. Kvöldverðurinn fylgdi líka með nýbökuðum snúðum. Þvílík dásamleg heildarupplifun. (Upprunalegt) The Harbour Cafe was such a gem to find on the Snæfesnoss Peninsula. Prices were relatively low, the menu offered seemingly traditional Icelandic options, and the staff was extremely kind and gracious. I ordered their daily special, a traditional cod, potato and mozzarella baked dish. It was spectacular. My wife ordered their chicken soup, and it was also delicious. Dinner also came with some fresh baked rolls. What a wonderful overall experience.

This cute little cafe almost made me cry tears of joy, I swear I’ve never had a more delicious meal in Iceland than on this day. First off we walked in, and the staff had the best choice of music going on, secondly the decor stands apart from every other restaurant which was refreshing to all of the senses. Lastly, we had ordered a pizza and my wife ordered cod, when I say I was elated when she couldn’t finish her meal it is an understatement. The fact that I got to try more of this establishments food sent me over the moon, and it was delightful. If I could eat here everyday I would. P.S. ask for a chocolate croissant and you won’t regret it!

Ég og fjölskylda mín vorum að leita að stað til að borða -- vonandi með eitthvað glúteinlaust, því ég er með glúteinóþol -- en allir veitingastaðir í bænum voru lokaðir. Við komum á Harbour Cafe og báðum um mat þó það væri lokað. Þeir sem vinna þarna, sem voru frá Rúmeníu, hefðu getað vísað okkur frá, en í staðinn tóku þeir á móti okkur og gerðu okkur dýrindis íslenskan kvöldverð -- ferskan fiskrétt með góðu glútenlausu brauði! Það kom mér á óvart hversu góð og gestrisin þau voru. Ein besta reynsla sem ég hef upplifað á veitingastað, alltaf. Þú verður að koma hingað. (Upprunalegt) Five stars! My family and I were looking for a place to eat -- hopefully with something gluten free, because I have Celiac -- but every restaurant in town was closed. We came to the Harbour Cafe and asked for food even though it was closed. The people working there, who were from Romania, could have turned us away, but instead they welcomed us in and made us a delicious Icelandic dinner -- a fresh fish dish with good gluten-free bread! I was amazed by how kind and hospitable they were. One of the best experiences I have ever had in a restaurant, ever. You must come here.

(Þýtt af Google) Við pöntuðum pizzu og tvær súpuskálar. Við fengum pizzuna frekar hratt. Hins vegar biðum við eftir súpunni í um 45 mínútur. Súpan sem þú þarft bara að hita upp aftur... Ég trúi því einhvern veginn ekki að þeir myndu búa til hana frá grunni.... Við vorum ekki þeir einu sem biðum lengi. Maturinn var ekki slæmur, þó ég telji að það hafi ekki verið þess virði að bíða (Upprunalegt) We ordered pizza and two bowls of soup. We got the pizza pretty fast. However, we were waiting for the soup for about 45minutes. The soup that you just need to reheat... I somehow cannot believe they would make it from scratch.... We were not the only ones waiting for ages. Food wasn't bad, although I don't think it was worth the wait
